Indeed amazing. I still don't get how they can do so. They said its alien, but i remembered they (Nat Geo) said once they found some people purposely made these stuff.

Yeah, I don't believe that aliens did it, but it is incredible how they've done it, whoever 'they' are...the precision is mindboggling. Though if the Egyptians can make their pyramids line up with constellations thousands of years ago, then i'm sure we can make crop circles with all this modern day tech...

I don't think it can be human-made because according to research and the measurements, some of the patterns are very hard to make in that scale, but what we have there are very accurate in ratio and axes. No human form can do that, let alone the fact that these are just done in a night usually, not bits by bits.

I've known there are people who say that's very very hard and complex to do it by a human team, and there aren't proves about a human team doing that ART.

- That's a combination of ART, and complex cientific knowledge. Is not only a good and beauty drawing on field, it contains real and so complex information about math and astronomy.

steps to make Cientific Art in the fields:

1 - the right contact and permission of the field owner (or if you're the owner then...)
2 - have the sketch, based in a logical, mathematical, astrophysicals, and esthetical figure.
3 - the tools, machines or whatever used to make it.
4 - a good chronometer, because it got to be made in record time, with only one chance to do it, you can't have mistakes, you can't "erease and redo".
5 - stay clean, foot steps, roofsteps, footprints, dA prints, steps, huellas, pisadas, excrement or traces of your team working.

Note: you can get an extra-award if you do it at night.

and I BELIEVE: if is not human made, is something so much smart and technological beyon human reach.
I see the figures and are so goods to print in t-shirts. a famous mexican exposer- investigator of the ufos, made medals with one of the figures.

AND: there are human made figures [ link ] but you can see imperfections, low quality on the traces and a figure "easy" without sense or "science".

I think given the sheer volume of the entire universe (which is constantly expanding) in terms of probability there will be a very high chance of other forms of life on different planets. We just don't have the means to discover them yet. Maybe they will discover us? Who knows.

But i'm sure that these life forms will differ completely from us, physically, biologically (I use the term biologically loosely because they may not be 'biological' like us, they may exist as a different form of matter, or be composed of entirely different basic elements, unlike our bodies which are composed in the majority of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen) and psycologically.

And Nat.Geo must've based their assumption of non-CO2 respiration on human conditions, i'm guessing. Who knows what other possibilities of life there are out there?

Agree, and that is exactly what I replied to crays above I believe that there will be really different forms of life, and we cannot just base on what we have on this planet because that is confining our own imagination

my mother is one of the most exceptical persons in the world. Even is exceptical in his own religious thoughts!
but, she says:
"I don't believe in ETs or aliens or whatever of other planets, maybe in some planet so far there are worms or life but I don't think they've visited us yet" .

- I believe we aren't the only live specie in the universe.
- I'm not sure iF some other type of life has visited us, but still I think in somewhere "some Extraterrestres are living"
- I think the crop fields are so complex, and they have quality, physical, astronomical and mathematical content and there aten't proves of human made
- there are only proves of human made only in these without content I mean and with low quality or complexity.
- I think the human specie is not the first, the oldest or newest specie of life (I imagine in somewhere there are older creatures, in consequence more advanced than us) and so, maybe there are some species just like sponges or primitive forms.

Not necessarily. There may be forms of life that have been around since the dawn of time but they just haven't evolved as quickly as us. Maybe they haven't got the capacity to evolve, or maybe this form of life simply can't survive on said planet, for example the dinosaurs, they were wiped out by comets etc, maybe the same is happening there?

And true, we do send out radio waves with very long wavelengths but obviously we either aren't sending them out far enough, the species we are trying to get in contact with cannot interpret/recognise these signals, or they just don't want to reply. I belive we still have a very long way to go in terms of reaching actual dialogue with other species. This could take hundreds or even thousands of years. Probably not in our lifetimes.

Having said everything above, there are so many assumptions i've already made, like do these aliens actually live on a planet? What form will they take? Do they even evolve like we do? Do they even have the capacity?

All we can do is speculate for now

That looks almost Photoshoppped! I think it could be done with satellite navigation for people on the ground so they can cut in exactly the right place, maybe even by using something as simple as a pair of sheers...

I tried to imagine and invent my own technology to make something like that, laser diagrams, magnetic static panels, silicon graphics machines to control the diagramms .. whatever it needs space and people - and there are no traces of big machines or so much technology placed there once on TV one man (famous for ghosts investigations ) exposed how to create drawings on the fields, and he created in the pc a Hello Kitty in a field, good work! but one Mrs. called to the studio by phone saying so bother" shut up ghost buster... I was there in a crop circle and it was real, I walked there and I saw it " :X
