iF you are in love today - is the past love erased at all?
By McLaranium (Senior Archangel) . 3 months ago Part I Xavier had a relationship, just like a friends with Helena, they were in love (yes still they are friends) but some differences and attitudes make the relationship like a friends not good, like rivals. .. but there are love , yes some love, she wants him and he wants her too, they are just a steps to become into a couple (even when there are "fights" between them"). Part II He decided go away... after some months of relationship Xavier decides go apart... away from Helena , Xavier knows that Helena's attitude like "indifference and arroggance" is just because she is shy, and she is falling in love too but she hides his feelings being rude, arrogant, frivolous. he fades away without announce anything... just 2 encounteers in a year -- just a halo but some strange, like a trying by they both to stay there, and a feeling like "why are we apart?? we shouldn't". Part III 5 years after, Xavier is in love, yes, has a nice, good and so pretty relationship with his girlfriend Malena, Malena loves him so much, he loves her so much everything is a dream made true  but one day...Part IV Xavier and Helena by coincidence- like a destiny-joke encounter in the subway. The moment is only Helena and Xavier, they talk about carreers, jobs, family... but the pauses, the moment, the details, the eyes, the look... he knows WHO AND WHAT she is, she knows WHO AND WHAT he is ... .. and they both know it, they FEEL it... Part V Xavier loves to Malena, is in love, he wants her, really he is so happy, and Malena is so happy and so in love too. But Xavier had a chain-- a chain named ELENA ... or is just his imagination?  ...my Life is a Movie, my Feeling is the Soundtrack

History is history, no matter how much you shout or cry, it can't turn back. It will just be like that, like now. Neither person the first relationship seems to know where they stand with each other, let alone decide if whatever relationship they had should continue. If the man is happy enough now, then maybe he should move on, as Night Angel suggested; then again, if the man were ready to move on, he could make some effort to clear up the previous relationship with both women. Anyhow, to answer the question -- no, it likely wasn't his imagination. It'd make a funny excuse though.

By wreckoning (Heavenly Archangel) . 3 months ago "thats why Im always in bad terms with my ex's", that could be a possible solution. I feel like movie scenes could give a gd answer, just so ppl could FEEL it never be too straight forward when voicing ur opinions, it might offend others.

In this world too many men just left with a bunch of unknown and questions, and thus creating a lot of unclear situation in which some people do silly things in order to know the answer. Somehow, only one full-stop is needed, which is so easy, but men just don't do it. I however understand why. Some men do not say full-stop to end a relationship clearly because they want to save a chance for future use. If anything goes wrong, they can always return, assuming women will wait for them like in those romantic movies. And sadly, such a behavior makes these men a lady. By summerdazed (Angelic Member) . 3 months ago I'm not friends with my ex, i know that if i do, it will be very hard to really end a feeling. However much you tell yourself you hate your ex or that you're ok with being just friends, emotions will be disturbed again when your ex has a new relationship or vice versa. And when your ex is in deep shit you heart will probably go out to him/her and you'll feel obliged to help, and that may jeopardise your new relationship. You know, stuff like jealousy and all that. That being said, i dont think one can totally let go and forget the past. The past makes you 'you', and it will haunt you from time to time. But the important thing is, like you all said, not to dwell in it. Or better, you can look back, accept the past and learn from it. Also, i think it's healthy to tell your new bf/gf about your past, as much as you deem appropriate, because although it may not matter, it is still better to let the opposite party know some things about your past. it's just what i think

And it needs skills to talk about your past so that it doesn't hurt both parties, if not helping anything. We never know what your lover feels when you talk about something in the past especially including sensitive information like your past relationships. If one has to learn from the past, it is you, not your lover. You have your own to learn while he has his own. I didn't talk much about my past. I do kinda agree with summerdazed's second paragraph. Seriously, one cannot TOTALLY forgot about their past. You can hide it but if someone says something that you find resemble your past, you will start thinking. Although they might or might not meant you. I stole the that oinks helloly.

Love is about understand, and if she ever complains about this, I believe something is wrong. My current relationship is pretty mature in a way that we have some understanding on these things, and we won't argue about this. Everyone has their own past and there is no need to reveal every bit in order to continue anything. If love is like that, does that mean you have to reveal everything in order to start going out with him or her? No way! By summerdazed (Angelic Member) . 3 months ago anyway, each to his own i guess, our opinions are influenced by many factors which may even include our different cultures and upbringings. I think crays agrees with me because we're both Malaysians and Malaysians are generally quieter due to our strict upbringing. It would be rude for us to just go straight out with what we think sometimes, and many years of 'oppression' as we grow up lead us to keep to ourselves more. I agree with Vincent that you don't need to keep talking your past cuz your current partner might think you're not over your ex yet. But by 'past' i mean like what crays said, like if you're a repented junkie i think the current partner should know about it, unless it wouldn't be fair. Then your partner will take more care about the related issues, although he/she might also be more easier suspicious of you  And like crays said it would change things when the past is exposed. I mean, if i found out tmr that my bf used to be a drug dealer i would definitely more careful, i might even break the relationship. In a way it is about trusting your partner enough to let them know, and see whether they can accept that. But anyhow, I guess in the end we just do whatever we do to protect ourselves from getting hurt, although it might mean hurting others. Humans are selfish, after all. Or maybe, in a good way, you can say that life is about survival of the fittest. That sounds like an excuse to be selfish though. Anyway, i'm way out of topic, hehe.
